Located in North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), the Lombok Mosque project is a design endowment that arose from the local community's need for a sufficient mosque while being constrained by costs. Thus, Shirvano, in collaboration with an external proposal team, initiated the creation of a proposal to seek funding for the construction of the mosque. The construction of the mosque was further justified by the dismal condition of the existing mosque. The current mosque is makeshift, constructed with basic materials such as bamboo, corrugated iron roofing, tarpaulin covers, and the like. The local community has been conducting religious activities in this temporary mosque. However, recently, this makeshift mosque suffered damages, and as a result, religious activities and Quranic education (Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran) are now held in one of the local residents' homes. Observing the locals' devotion and the children's eagerness to learn, we felt compelled to help provide the design needs for this mosque in Lombok. Since it aligns with Shirvano's endowment program, and with the availability of a waqf land, we ultimately decided to undertake this design project.
