Being a proud opening to the new year, Shirvano once again received an award for achieving 4th place in the Tanjung Selor Islamic Center Design Competition. The construction of the Islamic Centre in the North Kalimantan Province is intended to create an area that can accommodate and support Islamic activities. Among these activities are worship, economic transactions (muamalah), and propagation (dakwah). In addition to providing a space for upholding the Islamic faith, the Islamic Centre also serves as a center or information hub for Islam, catering to both Muslims and those interested in learning about Islam. This area is expected to become a new icon for the North Kalimantan Province in Bulungan Regency and a religious symbol for the people of North Kalimantan.
Serving as a connection and the genesis of a new civilization along the banks of the Kayan River, the Tanjung Selor Islamic Center envisions enhancing the quality of the region through facilities accessible to the entire community, especially Muslims. The facilities are oriented towards sustainable development, responsive to the Kayan River, and committed to preserving Kalimantan as the world's lungs.
