Rather than being built to withstand total collapse, this structure is engineered to provide clear indicators and opportunities for occupants to evacuate safely in the event of an earthquake. By incorporating local design elements, the mosque not only respects the cultural heritage of the area but also serves as a rapid response initiative to support and uplift the earthquake disaster victims in Lombok, providing them with a sense of community and solace in their time of need.
