1. Persistent fatigue.

3. Loss of motivation and enthusiasm for work.
4. Limiting and withdrawing from social interactions.
5. Easily falling ill.

Well, if you've ever felt some of the symptoms above, you might be experiencing burnout. So, what exactly is burnout?

According to the American Psychological Association (APA), burnout is a condition of physical, emotional, or mental exhaustion accompanied by a decrease in motivation, performance, and negative attitudes towards oneself and others.

Burnout can occur when someone experiences excessive pressure and demands, exacerbated by a lack of rest and social interaction. This can increase the burden on individuals and worsen the condition of burnout.

So, if you're experiencing burnout, what should you do?

1. Identify the causes or sources and find solutions.
2. Get enough rest, both through sleep and engaging in activities that replenish energy.
3. Improve your lifestyle by maintaining a balanced diet and regular exercise.
4. Practice mindfulness, such as meditation, breathing exercises, or journaling, to redirect negative thoughts.
5. Don't hesitate to seek help and support, whether from colleagues, superiors, family, or mental health professionals.

By following the tips above, you can overcome burnout and restore the enthusiasm and energy you once had. But, is there a way to avoid burnout so it doesn't happen? Of course, there are several ways you can do!

1. Set boundaries between work and personal life by establishing a clear schedule for work and rest.
2. Allocate time for enjoyable activities and hobbies.
3. Maintain a healthy lifestyle.
4. Create a routine schedule for recreation and socializing outside the work environment.
5. Always appreciate and value yourself while recognizing your limits.

Recognizing the symptoms of burnout and knowing how to overcome them can bring many benefits to both our physical and mental health. Let's start implementing changes in our lives by applying the tips above to stay productive and maintain good health!
